My inner work lately has been on self esteem, acceptance of self... in whatever way or however we find ourselves to 'BE' at this point in our journey. Lumps, bumps and warts:) So much teaching now is based on overcoming 'perceived' personal negatives, fighting how our body looks, changing... push, pushing ahead, the beliefs of drawing abundance, wanting more-getting more. When do we sit back and let ourselves (((BE))) who we are and settle into ourselves. Who am I now? instead of fighting against the natural changes of time. Happy changes can be made by simply finding positives in the 'perceived' negatives, SELF ACCEPTANCE.
Didn't we bring those difficulties into our lives to learn lessons from? Fighting against them is not always the way to learn. Sometimes we need to ease into the pain to understand it fully. Ride out an emotionally painful event and let it heal with time instead of facing it 'head on'... really learn it, feel it. If you can't get out of it then learn it fully. Something interesting happens when you let pain fully engulf you... it becomes smaller, you can go beyond it, go in to get out of it.
Saying this is enough to material gains - I have enough things! I am not defined by my own possessions or how well my children are accepted in society or how my body is accepted by society... these are all exterior things. They do not define the equivalent spirit that is all of us. Equal, no less, no more, in time, experience, lifetimes of journeys .. the spirit is who we truly are. The spirit that is driving the body/vehicle that we are housed in on this earth.
This is not the ultimate fight to be who we are not... but the ultimate fight to be the spirit body that we are.
This is what I've been experiencing, pondering... lately... :)
